Our Coffee Roasters

Our coffee Philosophy
Local Flavors
Local roasters embody the spirit of community and craftsmanship, where each cup tells a unique story of place, passion, and precision. Their beans, often sourced from small, sustainable farms, carry not just flavor but the soul of the land they come from. By roasting in small batches, they ensure quality and consistency, making each cup an experience worth savoring. In a world of mass production, local roasters remind us that coffee isn’t just a drink—it’s a reflection of care, creativity, and connection to the roots of our daily rituals.

Chico, Ca
Stoble
It all started at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where Nat and Lauren met in the dorms and were roommates throughout college. Matt and Matt ended up as roommates a few years later. We experienced growth, change, and heart-ache alongside of one another throughout those years forming deep, authentic, and lasting friendships. Community with one another became our heartbeat. We all got married the summer of 2010 and then embarked upon adulthood in separate parts of the world.
We stayed in touch, getting together often to reminisce, laugh, catch up, and dream about the future together. Community remained our heartbeat. As we dreamed about the future, we envisioned a life in which we could work towards something we care about and live and raise our children alongside one another, giving us an opportunity to pass along our love for community. Many years and six children later, we live across the street from each other and are working to build a company that builds the type of community we love so much.

Santa Cruz, Ca
Verve
Verve Coffee Roasters was established by Colby Barr and Ryan O'Donovan in Santa Cruz, CAÂ 2007. The two met at Chico State and developed a love affair with the specialty coffee scene. Colby once owned the Naked Lounge during his time in Chico, Ca.
Today, their roaster is a global phenomenon, due to their unrelenting pursuit of high quality green coffee, distribution of wealth on the farm level floor and unique approach and style to roasting.

Chico, ca
Rhapsody
Orginally owners of Juice & Jave in the small town of Paradise, California. Bringing a coffee house/drive-thru to the mountain town. Specializing in roasting thier own coffee to baking their own bread and pastries, they have always strived to exceed thier customer's expectations. They branched off into Nitro Coffee and began selling it to cafés and grocery stores in the area.
November 8, 2018, disaster hit. Paradise, along with other surrounding communities were almost wiped off the map in the tragic Camp Fire. They lost everything; the café, roasting and canning facility, and home. They reset in the neighboring town of Chico and built a state-of-the-art roastery creating Rhapsody Coffee to provide retail and wholesale coffee for all of Northern California.
